Peak SportsPerformance

“The most important distance between you and the ball, puck, player, or whatever you are playing against is the 6 inches between your ears.”

The brain - the most important organ in the human body.  It controls all human functions and systems -digestive system, cardio-vascular system, immune system, and endocrine system (glands and hormones that are the basis of all moods, thoughts and physical sensations).    When our brain is at its optimal, this means we minimize the dysfunctional states of feeling anxious, lack focus, being irritable, suffer from mind chatter and so forth.  Because, your brain is an instinctive survival system. It is capable of normalizing itself to use its biological energy efficiently.  Hence, an improved functioning central nervous system means a better functioning you.  But usually life throws at us events that may push us into dysfunctional states and normally the brain usually does sort itself and correct itself.  But for the most of us while we believe we are back to our usual selves it is more often the case we are stuck in an inefficient and dysfunctional brain state.

Sports coaches know that the mental component of a sport is critical to success.  It is crucial to be “in the zone”.  For many people, the challenge is to change the way their brains work and to overcome their habits that sabotage their efforts and reduce their success.  Neurofeedback easily facilitates success in sports and peak performance.  Many elite Olympic athletes use neurofeedback training to supplement their rigorous physical training.  Neurofeedback has become the meal of champions.

And because brainwaves produce all your feelings, emotions, and thoughts, the NeurOptimal® system knows a few seconds before you are even aware that these turbulent events are about to occur. NeurOptimal® gives your brain that feedback about what it just did in your brain’s language of audio and your brain must respond immediately to this cue by stopping the turbulent event it is about to produce and return to the present moment.

Technical Ability Still Matters

The objective of brain training is to ensure you perform consistently at the best of your technical ability.  Brain training can only take you as far as your technical skills. However, can you perform at that peak level when it matters?  That is what you are going to achieve with this brain training.  Your brain is trained in a holistic manner so that all your brain waves - high alpha, low alpha, high beta, low beta, delta, theta and gamma - are in sync and optimized to meet the moment by moment demands of your competitive event or professional function.

As a high performer, when your brain is not fully functioning, the signs show up as hypersensitivity to being corrected or reminded; excessive internal criticism; raised levels of anxiety; inability to adjust your routine and self-doubting yourself and all these symptoms takes you from a state of flow.

My focus is on helping you to release your innate ability.  I am not interested with the technical details of neurofeedback, the frequencies, the sites and the placements. I am interested in the post training brain effects.  What happens after several sessions of NeurOptimal training? What are the transformations?  What happens with your speed of reactions?  How did you understand the coach instructions to adjust your  posture? What types of mental shift did you noticed during training and after training?  What happened when mistakes are made and how you managed the adjustments?  Did you still have negative talk during or after work-outs? Are you more energized?  Have you made any changes to your diet or sleep? Are you more confident?
